Late August is not my favorite time of year. It is usually either hot and humid or cool and wet. Either way, there is a realization that summer is finishing up. There is a sense of ending rather than beginning but the transition to fall is still to come.
Though the garden is on the wane, it is still producing wonderful colors. I am definitely a primary color person. I love the deep green, yellow and red. It really cheers me up to see these on the counter!
